done in a methodical way, with costs per ml of paint. I have painted with Oud Holland brand oils for 22 years. Acrylics I find are generally either very good (qua body, pigment concentration, mixability) or poor. I suggest you consider this artist and his scale of quality acrylics. Good luck.

which I started out with because I figured my work was crap and why should I spend a lot of money on something that was going to be crap anyhow? I got talked out of that attitude pretty fast - the work will be better if the materials are decent. Duh. I can see how your sunset might not have been quite what you wanted - the paint didn't seem to blend quite right. Back to the good stuff...

I did a whole series of Mondrian and Klee type paintings where the garishness of them actually worked. But I only use good paints regularly. Mainly M.Grahm, Liquitex, Golden and Old Holland.
