Which painting to put in the show?

So I'm doing a library fundraiser. The rules are my painting has to be done within a certain locale and painted within 6 continuous hours. I have done 2, both of which will be in the online auction, but only one can be in the library show. Which one is more likely to sell?

personal fault of mine to feel icky at the sight of insects!! If I were the judge I would try not to react to the subject but as a viewer and lover of art (my son is also an artist) my reactions are sometimes visceral!! Hope you understand 😊

Best of luck to you 👍

I assume it fits the criteria for the show.

You may make your artworks anywhere on the Blue Hill Peninsula, including Orland, Surry and Deer Isle.

Although many artists choose to paint or draw landscapes outside, there is no limit on what you can do: views from your window, still lifes, portraits or abstract works are all welcome!

is my favorite. It’s beautiful and it reminds me of an old friend who is to dragonflies what I am to crows.

Good luck with the auction and show, GPV, and thank you for supporting your local library.

Ravens, crows, even blue jays are all cousins. Ravens have a curved beak and a fluffier ruff of feathers under their chins than crows but they’re both iridescent blackbirds.

Love all the blue and purple almost black. And that bright eye looking at me is so expressive. Sweet!

I especially love the way the dragonfly reminds me of a splashy-dressed ballroom dancer about to give a performance. But I think the landscape may be what the public may be looking for in a local show.

On the other hand, don't put a lot of stock in my opinion on art. I'm color blind and cannot draw a recognizable stickman.
