especially the dramatic black background.

Because I can't do what you do, I hesitate to offer a suggestion on how to do it, but as an amateur botanist I'd have liked to have seen more of the campanulas' shape, not the kind of flat frontal view. I think it not only would have more accuracy but also a depth to your painting. Your color is perfect I think but I do miss that bell-shaped flower.

It's a lovely picture.

Actually, I based the painting on a photo I did of the flowers. That's pretty much exactly the way it looked.
