(53,410 posts)I like it very much! It looks like a celebration of the Sun, or Nature. You did a great job! It looks like you did quite a lot of the melted wax. How did you apply the dye?

(53,410 posts)Although a certain amount of not controlling the artwork is probably all part of your plan. Controlled chaos so to speak. I really like the energy in your painting, like the water waves cresting. It makes it exciting to look at. And your colors are beautiful.

(52,208 posts)I remeber doing one of the Beatles in my art class in high school. It was such a pain I never wanted to do it again. I gave my art away I was so sick of it. My friend still has it though.

(52,208 posts)for the wax but it always got clogged up when the wax cooled too fast. It was a good experience. My art teacher always had us use new and unusual types of art (egg tempera, silver point on clay paper, all kinds of print making, etc).
The little wax pot is sort of like the one in this video....
