(17,693 posts)..the cooler colors in shade. 👍
I hope to ❤️ paint again later this year.
My work has been in fine line marker, rapiogragh, quill (a short time), believe it or not a black ballpoint pen in pretty skilled hands (like mine, but not the biro style) can make good + art, pencil, and colored pencils.

(3,625 posts)I saw your first alley painting and immediately thought it had to be a Minneapolis alley. My Minneapolis daughter had a similar alley behind their house, and your paintings seem so familiar to me. This painting conjures up beautiful memories of rocking my granddaughter with an alley view from her second-story bedroom window and pushing a stroller through the alley on the way to the park. I can't tell you how many wonderful memories your painting brings to mind. Thanks for sharing your talent!
By the way, my granddaughter just turned seven on Saturday.

(40 posts)That is an incredibly good painting!

(53,410 posts)I really like the way you show the sunlight bouncing off the top leaves and how the alleyway itself is dark and in the shadows with just a hint of foreboding. The blue car with the window reflecting the sky is a nice touch and saves the scene from being dark and scary.
This is a really good painting and depicts a little piece of Americana and a feeling of appreciation for our surroundings and the places we live.
Very nice. Compelling. Beautiful forgotten corners in life responding to the seasonal changes. I love it!
