I painted my Egyptian Gods

They were originally black with gold accents. I thought that was boring ...so

Maat

Sekhmet
I sculpted and put the wings on her statue

Lady Bast

Osiris

Anubis

Isis

Othello's butt blessing..

Othello photobombed the Gods. I am sure Lady Bast approved.

You did a wonderful job painting them. I love that you made them shiny. They sparkle like jewels!

Othello knows he’s a god! Everyone knows that!

On them and used glitter and dragonfly glaze. Gloss varnish.

I think the pics didn't do them justice. Had trouble with the lighting.

When I read the title, my first thought was, "How did you get the cats to sit still." 😸

Good one.

As for painting cats, ever see the book Why Paint Cats?

https://www.thriftbooks.com/w/why-paint-cats-the-ethics-of-feline-aesthetics_heather-busch_burton-silver/280701/item/3646401/?gclid=CjwKCAjwzMeFBhBwEiwAzwS8zCDfFuIDGkPTXp6gBC9hAxUIlTol43GjxX7ewJN3wTqPQ_6A7c4njBoCb7UQAvD_BwE#idiq=3646401&edition=2481001

There's another book with the cats and paint thing called Why Cats Paint by the same author.

As for a Cat who painted himself , Othello walked across my paint pallette one day.

He tracked cat paw
prints all over the floor and carpet because I had to catch him to clean his paws.
He didn't like me washing his paws.

The paint stained his fur. But it didnt stain the carpet or floor thankfully. The paint was acrylics.

He had multicolor paws until they faded out. He no longer jumps on the table while I'm doing art projects.

She's so beautiful.
When I feel her presence I feel such joy. And she surrounds me with her glorious gentle images.

Bast was my first love, then she led me to her sister Sekhmet.

Sekhmet has walked with me ever since.
Here is a Photoshop I made of Sekhmet
in her honor.

But Lady Bast is always near.
