I was interested to look up some Youtube interviews or newspaper interviews with the Irish actor Brendan Gleeson on portraying Trump, in a similar way I looked up Bruno Ganz interviews on how he portrayed Hitler in the movie Downfall, but there is not a single word out there. He is not doing any publicity. I have seen him in a few movies over the years, and thought he was a really wonderful actor. In the series, he plays Trump in a low key growly way and they don't portray the more comic Trump.

Wisely, Gleeson has chosen not to do any publicity for The Comey Rule. With the political thermometer soaring in the US in the final weeks of the presidential campaign, there is absolutely nothing he could say or do that would not be twisted and turned against him (not least by Trump himself). He didnt need to take on this apparently impossible role. Nor did he need to set himself up for the barrage of online abuse which will inevitably follow. Its one thing for people in the arts and entertainment industries to proclaim their political virtue, as they do on a regular basis; its quite another for them to put their hand directly into the fire. We should salute his principles and his courage.
Brendan Gleeson, age 65, is an Irish actor and film director
