I like Renner and think he is kinda cute but Rittenhouse is fugly, inside and out.

(18,903 posts)3. For me the thing that intrudes whenever I see him is a holdover of the first film I saw him in,
which was the 2003 action flick "SWAT" with Sam Jackson, LL Cool J, Colin Ferrell, et al.
He played a dirty/mercenary cop in that one, and first impressions yadda yadda, so now I never quite buy him as a truly good good guy. Not that he's supposed to be a truly good good guy in the Marvel shit (or Bourne or whatever), but I recognize that there's baggage not of their own narrative/creation in my mind as I watch, and it is distracting.
Stupid brain, with its memories and such, getting in the way of current moving picture pablum.
