50 Cent says expenses $108,000 a month; $72,000 for mansion

HARTFORD, CONN. — Rapper 50 Cent says in a Connecticut bankruptcy court filing he spends $108,000 a month on his expenses, including $5,000 for gardening.

He has a monthly income of $185,000, mainly from royalties and interest on his investments. But he's paying $72,000 a month to maintain his suburban Hartford mansion.

He filed for bankruptcy last month after New York City jurors ordered him to pay $7 million to a woman who said he posted online a crudely narrated sex tape she made with a boyfriend.

His Monday court filing says he also owes money to his stylist, his barber and his fitness coach.

Do you remember Elton John suing his manager? These are pounds so add 25-40% for dollars.

Sir Elton John got through almost £40 million over a 20-month period including spending £293,000 on flowers, the High Court heard today.

The 53-year-old singer's lavish lifestyle emerged as he gave evidence in his multi-million pound contract battle.

From January 1996 to September 1997 Sir Elton's spending was just under £2 million a month on average. Expenditure included more than £9.6 million on property, the court heard.

Sir Elton said: "I have no-one to leave the money to. I'm a single man. I like spending my money."

The expenses of these so-called celebrities are a slap in the face to the hard working families that make up the rest of America. AKA the middle class. (And people working but living in poverty). This money could be utilized in a much more beneficial way. I don't know how someone who makes that amount per month could possibly be Bankrupt unless they were financially reckless.
