Not the Don Cheadle movie, but in the early 90s i watched it a few times on HBO or Showtime.
Did, Herbie, Gil Evans, Robben Ford & others were interviewed.
I thought it was called "Miles Ahead" but I searched & can't find any such movie. So, I must have the name wrong.
It doesn't even show up on searches of "Miles Davis documentaries".
I really enjoyed it. Wish I could track it down
