We saw him the night he died. Up at Alpine Valley is Wisconsin.
It was a long show as SRV & Double Trouble played nearly an hour. Then Clapton played for 2.
Finally the 2 bands jammed together. We started to the car at 45 minutes in.
We live over 100 minutes away, so we didn't get home until after 2am.
Woke about 8:30 & put on WGN news and learned his chopper went down.
