Folks are hoping for a Taylor Swift endorsement, I want to see Kendrick Lamar

Folks, I'm telling you now. If Kamala comes out to this song, the song of the summer in clubs and festivals all over the US, the song that ended the Drake/Kendrick rap battle, a song slamming Drake for his proclivities that could just as easily apply to Trump...if she came out to this song and danced at the DNC, we'd lock up the Gen Z/Millennial vote. Having Taylor endorse Kamala would obviously be huge, but I'd love to see Kendrick endorse Kamala and the campaign tap into "Not Like Us" fever.

I think Swift's endorsement is just a matter of time, probably in October. LonePirate Jul 22 #4

Also, there is one other endorsement which might help a little but it will never happen because he is quite possibly a racist right winger: Morgan Wallen.

...loved "Chasing You" when Ashley Cooke covered it. MW is very talented but you're probably right. Kasey Musgraves would be a huge endorsement. But nothing close to Taylor Swift's 300 million fans. She could literally bring 10+ million new voters to the polls.

However, if she shows up at the DNC, the floodgates will open.

Plus it would give time for her fans to register to vote before November.

He has, in recent years, had to apologize for casually using the N word in a leaked video (he also donated $300k to a black music organization in response), flouted COVID guidelines quite publicly, and gotten arrested for throwing a chair off a building in the direction of two police officers.

I guess it depends on where he falls on one's notoriety/popularity scale and whether he's worth the baggage.

Getting Taylor Swift on board would be enormous, she would lead a movement of young people to the polls. Her publicly endorsing Kamala could end her career. What they did to the Dixie Chicks was child’s play compared with the death threats Taylor will get.

Taylor's following completely eclipses the Dixie Chicks and I say that as a fan of the Chicks who supported them on their tour after the backlash in the early 2000's.
