Here is a clip of the Hendrix tour from two nights ago. There are several other clips from the show including one where Samantha plays with Taj Majal.

(62,439 posts)... I've seen some good ones. That was around 40 years ago.

(9,282 posts)The three played together at this year's Clapton festival in LA.
Really enjoy your posts.
I saw Hendrix post Experience in late 69 or early 70 on a high school field trip at Berkeley Community Theatre.
One of my friends here in Humboldt grew up in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and was president of the Monkees fan club and received free tickets when Monkees played Coeur d'Alene, Hendrix opened.
Jimi Hendrix named Randy California of Spirit "California" as Randy California played in the Hendrix band before the Experience and Spirit. Mentioned recently in one of your threads seeing Spirit in Eureka in 1994. Did not go to another rock show until 2018 when went to Tahoe to see Samantha Fish after 5 months in a cancer patient lodge. Went to Tahoe to see Samantha again in 2018, that will be my last rock show. Saw lots of music mostly in SF Bay Area between 1968 and 1988. What a glorious place to be for music in those years. Youtube is one of my favorite pastimes now.

(62,439 posts)... arrest him for burning his guitar. I quit hitting concerts when Ticket Tron took control of the price of tickets. When they got too close to $100
tickets. I saw Jefferson Airplane in '68 at the Allen Theater in Cleveland. Saw both shows of T-Rex in Feb '72 $6.50/ticket and sat front row for the second show. Saw Zappa and Beach Boys at Kent State for around $10, Saw Mahavishnu Orchestra and the Beach Boys at Ravinia in Chicago in '72, each for a little over $10 plus parking, Saw Cactus, McKendree Springs, NY Rock and Roll Ensemble and Little Richard for $7.50 on New Years Eve '71, saw Bad Company, Kinks, Poco in Provenience Town in '72 - tickets were around $10 for each show - and there's more Animals in Mesa. AZ. under $10 in '84 ... but wait there's more! Roy Buchanan and Todd Rungen's UFO same ticket at Cleveland Music Hall in '74, Beau Brummels and McKendree Springs at the P-Dog Saloon in Cleveland in '78, Lou Reed at the Civic in Akron, Cream at the Civic, ... there more - Hawkwind at the athletic field at Akron U. summer of 71 .... Roadied for Wild Butter, saw James Gang for a $2.50 cover and two beers at the Pirates Cove in Kent just after they released Funk #49. Saw Glass Harp at the same place that summer. While still in HS saw the outsiders at Chipawa Lake. Saw the beatles for $6.50 - didn't hear a thing, the Crycle was one of the openers (Red Rubber Ball), they stopped the concert for thirty minutes after the crowd overran the cops, scared the Beatles off the stage. Humble Pie in Cleveland, Canton, Ohio; and in Chester (?) with J Geils, and Black Oak Aekansas.
Sad part is I know there's more. I saw some bands at Akron U's concert venue and the hell I remember who they are. Damn. I wish I could remember who opened for the Beach Boys in Cleveland. It was a strange combo and I actually went for the other band. Daryll Dragon of Captain and Tennille was still keyboard for the B Boys. Saw Caravan in Cleveland in '77 at the Agora in Cleveland
I late evening DJ'd at Akron U's WAUP-FM. I think they might have given me the tickets to interview Roy Buchanan. Forgot to hit record for 20 minutes. Roy Buchanan was a very nice person, he let us waste his time in a green room till almost 1:00AM. Hardly anyone would do that for anyone else.
I'm too old to pay $200+ for a ticket, I will not look out into a forest of hands full of smart phones and try to pickout the band.
I know I'm missing some concerts.
