Ii went to that concert and saw many others there. Just a place we used to go almost weekly. As I recall it was him and Clapton and Robert Crey and some others.

And yeah now that you mentioned it I do remember that.

My wife & I.
I had seen Clapton before (July '75) but she never did, so we went figuring "How can we go wrong?" Clapton and SRV?
We live around 2 hours away, so we didn't get home until around 1:30am.
Woke up at 7 and found out got killed in that crash. We had seen him playing less than 8 hours before.

I wanted to see Robert Cray.. he had a song that year I really liked ( can't remember bow what it was) maybe Nidnight Stroll , don't remember. Anyway we were shocked when we heard about the crash too.
