Frank Zappa Fusion. "Whipping Post"

"Frank Zappa's rendition of "Whipping Post" is a noteworthy example of his musical versatility and occasional use of audience requests. While the song was originally written and popularized by The Allman Brothers Band, Zappa incorporated it into his repertoire following a fan's request at a 1974 concert in Helsinki."

"Zappa's version, released on his 1984 album "Them or Us," showcased his band's instrumental prowess and his own distinct musical style. Notably, Zappa also included live recordings of "Whipping Post" on other albums, featuring extended improvisations and showcasing the song's adaptability to his band's exploration."

Outstanding jazzed up rendition, but the videographer was more interested in Zappa's nostrils than his fret work.
