A Doobie Brother twofer

Except for the band’s name, I wasn’t a big fan until Michael McDonald joined the group. Here’s one of their hits “It Keeps You Running” from their album Taking It To The Street released in 1976:

One of their songs that got less play, but deserved more, was “Thank You Love”. from their album One Step Closer released in 1980. The song was written and sung by new member, Cornelius Bumpus, and uses vibraphone and marimbas. It also has several instrumental solos throughout.

Enjoy!

I liked their stuff better before McDonald. That said, I pretty much just dug their singles. I don't know that I ever bought a Doobies' album. I liked them, but I wouldn't have called myself a fan.

And yes it's Michael McDonald's voice that was so strong that I liked the best.
