... he invited Jeff Beck to play. He asked Beck what he was going to play and off the top of his head, and Beck who had nothing in mind when the met over this, just said, "Day in the Life" Harrison laughed and said "Good choice".
Beck recorded it as a trio, and was disappointed with how sparse it felt. Harrison said, "Don't worry, I got your back!" and in post production added a 61 piece orchestration.

I played bass on it and the high harmony.
The harmonies on this are tricky with the minor chord being sung over major chords & the 7ths
Took a while to get it right.
Thus song is off my 2nd favorite Beatles album.
