(10,132 posts)Frankly, it was the worst concert I've ever seen. They mixed on stage, instead of in the audience. Despite having what they billed as "the largest sound system in the world" (nearly 500 speakers) the sound was awful. The vocals were muddy to the point that they were virtually unintelligible, and really only the drums and bass stood out. We left early; the first and only time I ever walked out on a concert.

(7,725 posts)Usually not the best idea-on a good day even-to try to cobble together a show...while completely stoned. Tends to throw off what you know. You know?

(5,737 posts)It is all nasal and whiny. My mother-in-law is buried about 75 feet from Monroe in Rosine, KY. I hate country music just as much.

(23,283 posts)I was in Washington DC and heard on tv around this time in August. I worked with a bunch of deadheads who were grieving Jerrys passing when I returned to work. I saw the Grateful Dead one New Years Eve at the cow palace in SF. Someone gave us 4 free tickets. None of us were deadheads and left at 12:30 am. Just didnt get to group.
