I love educators Teaching the blues Friday as a honorary teacher

Was invited by our sons middle school guitar teacher. Miss k came other weekend and jammed with our one son and dad. And we started tossing around idea of several fridays where if I could come in and sit with her students I’m like yup bet I’ll do it. Miss k a very fine educator she also teaches music and band for middle school. I think very highly of those who chose teaching as a profession our youngest daughter teaches elementary.

I also think we’ll of nurses our oldest daughter and attorneys our middle daughter and my wife, I over married 32 years ago me I’m a union freight hauler plan is get our 2 sons thru college then take my pension. No work tonight they have a ban on doubles on turnpike two trailers so I’m home on executive time.

So I’m sitting here was thinking how I can have a blast with the sixth seventh eighth graders Friday as I love the blues, so I was jamming and for my lesson plan 42 years exploring the fretboard. I wanna give these young children my best over these however many Fridays we can do this ,naturally will start with Robert Johnson maybe blind lemon Jefferson.

Then probably Elmore James maybe Eddie Taylor of course John lee and jimmy reed. And then really blues went electric with howling wolf Hubert sumlin, jumped to England with the stones cream and original fleet wood Mac. And came back to America ZZ Top black Crowe’s the stress of education but I will enjoy this.

And if you want to go further, check out Adrian Legg.
The first bit you see is an ad, with some pretty good guitar playing. Adrian plays after the ad.

Got to get the Texas blues men in.

I see where the "NAVASOTA BLUES FEST In memory of Mance Lipscomb, Songster" is on hiatus. This has been a great event for 21 years drawing great new and old blues musicians and blues lovers from all over.
