Related: About this forumDoes anyone remember singer Klaus Nomi?
He was a new wave/opera singer in the 70s and died in 1983 (one of the earliest from AIDS). He performed with Bowie on SNL too. No one I know remembers him which makes me blue.

(62,394 posts)I think Tin Huey played that night, too.

Some members of Huey were involved with the Waitresses
Devo recorded their first EPs and album at Bushflow studios in the basement of a house I lived at.
A good album of the times is 'Bowling Balls From Hell".
The sax/hoen player from Huey, and the Waitresses was Ralph Carney who also played on several B-52s, his son is one of he Black Keys.

(52,340 posts)I wish I had the chance to see him sing a live show. I lived in NYC when he was there but was a poor art school student whose money had to go to art supplies first and food second.

(52,340 posts)from the French newspaper in the video. He seems to really enjoy performing and his enthusiasm is contagious. I can see why Bowie wanted to work with him. Rush Limbaugh used HIS song?!?!? I hope he lost the lawsuit BIGLY. I keep hoping the orange blob would get sued for using other people's music without permission. They complain but he does it anyway without paying, somehow getting away with it at his rallies.
