Elton John Postpones Farewell Tour Dates Amid Coronavirus Concerns

The announcement is no surprise to those who have been paying attention to the state of the music industry, where large events are now continually being canceled or postponed amidst coronavirus concerns.

John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour was slated to head to Indianapolis on March 26th and make a number of stops before closing out in Detroit, Michigan on May 2nd. As of right now, the concerts schedule from May 22nd to July 8th in North America, and the international dates following those are still continuing as originally planned.

The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour has been a long process, starting back in September of 2018 and originally slated to end in February 2021. It it intended to be the “Tiny Dancer” singer’s final tour.

There’s no word yet on if the postponing of these dates will prolong the tour or if they will be worked back in to the existing schedule somehow. But tickets for the original dates will be honored when the new shows are eventually announced.
