Waiting on a guitar the ANXIETY My son

He is fifteen and with his savings from his summer jobs. He purchased a Japan ARIA pro 2 leopard Ls 800. It is to be delivered today these are players. And as a japan collector for decades I’m like hey let’s go for it $600. It is from the pre 1980s the golden years. A Gibson as this would set you back around $3000. The child was up at 05:30 my wife said he has you in him.

That's what makes a musician. It gives you the strength to persevere, learn all the boring basic stuff, listen for hours, practice the same stupid thing for hours to get it right, and keep on learning new things your whole life.

Congratulations. You guys are going to have fun.

Those 88 keys reveal new secrets and new challenges (and take me to visit old friends) every time I sit down.

I was about that same age when I saved the money from all my odd jobs (I mowed a LOT of lawns) & ordered a black Ibanez Iceman, like the one Paul Stanley played, because I was a KISS fan & to me his guitar was the coolest.

That was my first "real" guitar, after the no-name $125 Les Paul copy I ordered from the Sears catalog (& learned to play on) a couple years earlier.

I still have the Iceman, & want to restore it one day. I played it so much the frets are worn down & the fretboard is a bit "scalloped" in places from bending strings.

After the Iceman came a 125w Carvin head, & I built two 4x12 cabinets & loaded them with Carvin speakers. That was my stage rig for many years. I still have it all.
