On Monday, February 12, we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue!

Learn more about the fascinating history behind the composition of the beloved American classic, and tune in on Monday at 11AM for a performance with Leonard Bernstein as the soloist and conductor, and at 8PM for a special performance of the original version that Ferde Grofé orchestrated for the Paul Whiteman Band.

I think we own 3 or 4 recordings of it. Timeless!

At a Fort Worth Symphony concert, I heard John Nakamatsu (a Cliburn gold medalist) play it. It was wonderful.

It's got more accidentals than self-driving autos!

A magnificent work. There's a "solo" version (as there is for Concerto in F and American in Paris) but also a music minus one version for pianists who can't afford an orchestra!
