Old guy ramble kids son girlfriend went movies I’m off today just bored on back porch having cold tea. TV is off since around 10:55 this morning news pisses me off.

So I’m just putting this out there if anyone is interested looking for decent guitar at decent price my collecting days long gone i had MIJ addiction I think it is in remission sarcasm joking.
My dear wife used to call me a made in Japan Guitarted savant she had great sense humor.

I posted yesterday about this Ivy brand guitar think it’s their Ivy IP 300 model for like $280 it’s is impeccable neck thru design finish made in Vietnam. This will eventually get new bridge tail piece new posts new wiring pots caps and humbuckers it’s PRS knockoff yet son wants no coil tap on the humbuckers he chooses.

And besides a coil taping humbucker meh kind like using the old man’s 70’s station wagon get hot heavy with your high school sweetheart just add 12 pack of PBR and skunk weed oh western Pennsylvania high school 1980’s romance.

I’m thinking I mentioned to my one boy maybe alnic combo with humbuckers i have super grade a Burny with alnico 2&5 the A5 in bridge A2 in neck on the super grade Lester I think that be good combo for this Ivy.

The Ivy It’s a beast in weight reminds me of my 97 McCarty in holding it yet this guitar for price it is flawless the elitism bubble has burst and that’s good for us players who are on a budget who jam at home in the 1 to 5 watt tube range shoot I’d jam with this Ivy as it is now all stock.

Yet today i started on this tele guitar is from company called effin guitars $185 I think used alder body rosewood fretboard.

I’m kind of into the aesthetics of this tele the honey butterscotch with rosewood fretboard you never see too many of them in this color combo.

I think I like it reminds me of my old man’s tele he replaced maple neck with rosewood years ago in the 70’s.

I’m gonna do total do over i have frets removed gonna start frets probably Sunday when I’m off again , and new bridge in thinking maybe steel bridge with brass saddles three or six maybe mellow it out a bit.

So this is what I’m thinking i may route it I’ve done the Nashville tele mod maybe twice over years for friends. Yet with this guitar I’m thinking same Nashville routing dropping in some Seymour quarter pounders and with new pots five way switch.

I told 19 hey it be a strat with two knobs he smiled ok hitting shower. Duncan the golden retriever is beat asleep out cold on couch we’re usually together as in I’m on back porch he would be with me I don’t think he knows I’m outside.
Dunc was swimming at lake all day with kids thank goodness they had food dad I got a grilled cheeseburger i didn’t wanna hunt chipmunks to survive.

Have good night D.U. Community don’t sweat the news I was earlier will make it right November 5.
