(34,414 posts)I actually know two people who hate the smell of coffee! Not me!

(24,042 posts)Mom took hers strong and black back then, way too harsh for me. When I later discovered people adding milk and sugar to that delicious smell, I was sold! In fact, I recently started drinking more coffee, like 4 cups a day, and am now forcing myself back to only 3 a day. When I hit 3 I pour out any remainder now, but I do miss those other cups. Oh, I use stevia these days and 1% milk. When I want a treat, I add a teaspoon of chocolate syrup, OMG!

(34,414 posts)Still, if I was ever in a restaurant or when we got dragged to church and they had coffee hour afterwards, OMG the aroma to me was just heavenly.
Then in high school the school cafeteria installed a coffee machine! That did it for me. My 2nd period Biology teacher let us bring a cup to class. Been hooked ever since.
2 -3. cups in the morning and thats enough for me. Your tsp of chocolate syrup sounds wonderful, Ill have to try it!
Folgers is made in Jacksonville and is cheap here. Mom went thru a phase where she drank Folgers instant, horrible stuff, didn't even smell right. I was glad when she went back to drip coffee.

(34,414 posts)And usually buy Eight o Clock, occasionally Peets Big Bang if the store has it. I never got into the Keurig scene.

(24,042 posts)We use a store Guatamalan blend, not too bold, not too light, just right for us! We used to buy more expensive coffee, but now get Aldi's and haven't missed the other stuff one bit.
