Related: About this forumMy neighbor, Julie, is the crazy cat lady and has a half dozen cats
that bring her 'gifts'. Small birds, mice and occasionally a snake. She just brought me a Texas Rat Snake about 18" long. I'm constantly amazed at how the cats can capture and control these creatures without hurting them! The birds fly away, the mice scurry off as if nothing happened and the snakes don't have a scale out of place. Very talented these cats!
The rat snake is an ill tempered critter, will bite you just for the sake of biting you. Completely harmless but not exactly co-operative so I'll put him in the fridge for a half hour or so and have pics later.
BTW if you have snakes on your property you don't have a snake problem, you have a mouse problem . . .

She is working on getting everybody neutered but they are so prolific they seem to get ahead of her.
