I stepped out of my back door, then ran back to get my camera
Little guy was so busy enjoying the flowers it didn't fly away. It was so lovely.

(95,687 posts)Down at the last place I rented we had a flower garden in front of the house, about 65' long, and there were several flowers these guys liked so they were around all the time, lots of them. They like those little flowers in you picture.
Nice surprise!
Also, that was in deep shade so I didn't know how well they would turn out with my little point and shoot camera. I got 6 shots and these were the best. Butterflies are quite rare around here.

(153,047 posts)That is wonderful. I've seen some butterflies in my yard, but they never seem to perch long enough for me to get.
Wish they'd slow down, the way yours did!

(8,771 posts)Like I said earlier, we don't get much butterfly action around here. So, this was a special event for me. But, someone posted a video below that showed the same one.
