But, after 60+ years of amateur sky- watching, Ive never seen a Perseid. Ive seen sporadics while watching for Perseids, a Leonid meteor storm and Geminids, yes! And many other wonderful phenomena, such as a coronal aurora - from suburban N.Y., yet - but never a Perseid. My late DH did see a very good display from atop Lassen Peak in CA, however.
