(92,707 posts)I saw a beautiful moon surrounded by breaking clouds from the hurricane.
I wanted to take a shot of it but I'm dealing with a weird vitreous detachment and I'm just not taking pictures until it goes away. It's like there's a gnat squashed on the right lens of my glasses and it sort of slides around some but it's near the center of my view. Hard to get a clear focus. So I'll wait.

(3,563 posts)Please get it checked it out. Opthmalogists say you should always let them know about new floaters. It could be a sign of bigger problems.

(92,707 posts)On Friday. It freaked me right out so I made an appointment for the soonest available slot. According to the pros, I just have to wait this one out and it's not serious.

(92,707 posts)On top of it all I got an eye exam and was told my eyes are actually in good shape for my age and my vision has not decreased by much at all since the last exam of that type five years ago so I really have no issues except the effect of that which resembles a squished gnat on my glasses lens.
Patience, I'll have to remain stocked up on that stuff!

I wanted a more interesting caption than just "Moon."
