Sunrise: Wilderness Fire Lookout Tower (8/28/2023)

Last edited Mon Aug 28, 2023, 09:12 PM - Edit history (1)

Maybe the last sunscape/moonscape for a few days. Tomorrow brings heavy rains and a chance of snow at the higher elevations in my area of the Pacific Northwest. My fire season ends next Tuesday, September 5. It is a fire management decision that I agree with 100%.

I am glad for you that your watch will soon be over. And my gladness extends to the forests and people who live nearby.
But we will miss your beautiful photos!

Yikes, snow. Is it a little early, even if higher elevations? I'm not looking forward to snow in my neck of the woods. But once it comes, it's beautiful and we all adapt.

For your important work and your stunningly beautiful photos. Thank you for all you do and I hope you don’t stay away too long. What will you be doing on this “off season”?
