(19,158 posts)Personally, I think our North Anericwn trash pandas are cuter, with their shorter snouts and bushier coats, but coatis are pretty cool in their own way!

(19,158 posts)I dont think I've seen one of those guys in the flesh, but I knew about them.
If I'm not mistaken, their range extends into parts of the southwestern U.S. (i.e., southern Texas and New Mexico and parts of Arizona). I don't know if that's the same type/species of coati that's found in Central America, but they look pretty similar, in pictures, at least.
