(14,659 posts)I was near the airport and saw lots of planes.. As a kid I use to sit at the end of the runways at small airports and watch touch and goes.. Great way to piss away an afternoon..

I have plotted the flight paths for TPA and MacDill on Google Earth and scouted potential locations for photos. We spent an entire day at a public park at the north end of the MacDill runway and got some good shots of tankers and Marine fighter training. I watch those C130's out of PIE, rarely do they pass by N. Tampa and get a chance to snap a pic. Check out my plane spotting Gallery.............
