End of the Season

When I lived in New Jersey I had many hosta plants and one fall I took a series of images as the plants died back for the winter.

And after the foliage had disappeared I took the dried flower stalks, laid them down like pick-up sticks and made this image.

But the series is a quite wonderful. I can’t express the effect. I just want to linger here.

I also have quite a few Hosta plants around my house and have posted pics of them before - they are so interesting and photogenic. I never thought to do a series like yours, however, and it’s just lovely.
