CaliforniaPeggy
(154,466 posts)It's funny--the light was precisely why I took this photo!
I love their color too. Very tasty!

(7,964 posts)And I love the taste of them. Don't know if people know this but red bell peppers have three times as much vitamin C as an orange.
CaliforniaPeggy
(154,466 posts)I'm glad you like my photo!
We love the taste of these. And I knew about the Vit. C. Plus they're sweeter than the green bell peppers.
Doc Sportello
(7,964 posts)I put that in about the vitamin C because I only learned about it a few years ago and thought people might like another reason to choose them. You obviously can garden as well as photog.
CaliforniaPeggy
(154,466 posts)So I go to Farmer's Markets and buy their produce, and practice my camera skills on them!
And good for you, spreading the good word on the red bell peppers' nutritional benefits.

CaliforniaPeggy
(154,466 posts)When I was trimming them, I found out just how crisp they really are.
They'll be great once I stuff them!

(154,466 posts)I love the vibrant color and the way they taste! My family and I prefer them to any other bell pepper.

(4,522 posts)beautiful reds.
Poisonous to RA sufferers...have to incorporate in small doses.
CaliforniaPeggy
(154,466 posts)They are yummy and wow are they beautiful!
I didn't know that about RA sufferers. That's a shame, but of course staying healthy is the most important thing.

(4,018 posts)I ljust returned from the store with a giant red pepper, to sautee with onions, mushrooms, and cubed turkey breast in avacado oil. But yours from Farmer's Market look so much better and fresher.
CaliforniaPeggy
(154,466 posts)My bell peppers didn't come from the Farmer's Market!
I bought them in a little grocery store that shares the space with my local meat market.
I was impressed with how firm they are and how good they looked. I had just that morning decided to make my recipe for stuffing them.
So there's the truth!
