we need a frogtography thread.

but, seriously, i am still considering doing frogtography workshops here at my place when my workload lightens. keep shooting frogs and toads! and everything else!

re: amphibian diversity here, my catalogue is lame and doesn't even scratch the surface of the diversity. there are over 200 species of amphibians in CR.

i'd love to find a biologist who is doing a book on amphibians of the Osa or the southern zone of CR and who is collecting the best specimens...i'd love to do the photos for them. i've almost got the formula for lighting, exposing and post processing down...still need to make a few tweaks here and there. the biggest challenge is getting frogs and toads to sit still in a natural looking pose for a few seconds so i can compose, focus and shoot. i just need to find a diverse and appropriate collection of substrates (natural gravel, mosses, bark, etc) to stage them on.
