I guess there is a certain thrill to having a pet that can kill you, but the downside is that you might die. I always understood that being bit by a gila monster was not likely because the fangs are toward the back of the jaws. I hope they find a good home for the monsters.

(51,446 posts)The police are making arrangements to rehome the monsters at a wildlife park in South Dakota. It makes no sense to kill them because a Gila monster has a smaller brain than Donald Trump, and they're programmed to do three things: bite prey to death, eat that prey and reproduce.

Coincidentally I was reading about Gila Monsters this week after watching Treasure of the Sierra Madre Sunday night.
Not a way I'd want to go.
