The sky was hazy when I took this and several other test shots about an hour ago. Two sunspots are visible. As I'm typing this post, it's mostly cloudy. I'm hoping to get some shots between the clouds during the entire partial eclipse process, which begins at 2:06 pm and ends at 4:34 pm here in Lancaster, PA. The moon will cover 91% of the sun for three to four minutes beginning at 3:22 pm. Best of luck to all!

(22,886 posts)We are in Indianapolis right now, the closest place we could travel to that was in the path of totality. The eclipse was amazing, but I knew better than to try taking any pics without the proper equipment. That's why I'm looking forward to yours.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
