(103,806 posts)Haven't seen any of those in a while. We have them but they hang out in higher elevations.
And good morning! We had a full sky wash of red this morning at sunrise, probably going to rain a bit, at least it's above freezing at the start of the day.

(6,819 posts)We have blue jays in PA. I saw Steller's the last time I was in the Rockies, 25 years ago.
We had sunny skies and a high of 71 yesterday, but it's cloudy and cold this morning. Looks like we're going to be in the upper 30s tonight with chance of frost.

(103,806 posts)We don't have those here so they don't come to mind right away. I didn't really know your location. I think the northern inland and eastern states are going to see part of that arctic mass that's headed our way, diving south through the one we're already in. Don't start your outdoor gardening just yet, could get pretty cold. We almost had a refreeze this past week, it's headed your way.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
