I know it looks weird from this angle. This is the root end of one of those ordinary houseplants that vine all over and get extensive. I cut the long strand and stuck it in water and waited for it to grow roots.
Which it did. Just now, I spotted these tiny new shoots! They made me very happy, as they were the first signs that my work would not be in vain. Hope all of you enjoy!

It really is fun!
And for me, it's also rare to see success in this sort of scenario.
They keep growing and growing, and getting leggier and leggier, until I have to cut them and put them in water.
The leaves are heart-shaped.

I've never really had one root like this one is doing, with the little sprouts coming up. I was so excited about this unexpected development!
It rather does look pretty monstrous, especially if you don't know the back-story!

If you keep them to grow, then you have them everywhere, and if you throw them out, you feel like you're murdering them! ACK!
I've never heard the name "Devil's Ivy" before! Learn something new every day. 
Your track record is excellent! I'd encourage you to try again and make sure you're the only one who gets to water it!
