(152,070 posts)The clouds and the trees are so beautiful, but not when they block the moon!

(152,070 posts)I do see the sunglasses but not so much the other features.
But I do believe that you're seeing the legendary Man in the Moon!

(340 posts)Which body and lens? Settings?
As an aside, last week (at age 68 and with six earned post-secondary degrees from long, long ago) I embarked upon what I hope will be an Associate of Arts degree (to complete the collection of letters after my name) in photography at Los Angeles City College, using my G.I.Bill and VocRehab benefits from my 13.5 years in the Army.
I have always loved taking photos, even in the midst of not knowing what I was doing.
You and your artistry are an inspiration, CaliforniaPeggy!!

(152,070 posts)I used the camera and lens that I always use: My Olympus E-M10 Mark IV, with the Olympus lens 100-400mm.
Plus there's an electronic zoom that's inside the camera: The 2x extender. It works superbly and doesn't degrade the photo at all.
I applaud your continuing education! You will emerge from that program with extensive knowledge and awareness of your art.
I'd love to see your work as it exists now. I truly enjoy watching people learning new skills; it shows in their work.
On edit: The Settings:
Focal length: 400 mm
Aperture/F stop: 6.3
Exposure Time: 1/2000 sec
ISO: 1250

(388 posts)I got a great view, but was driving so I couldn't look as intently as I wanted to. The color here was much more of white and yellow hues. You have taken a beautiful photo.
