Sphinx/Hawk Moths (Sphingidae)

Carolina Sphinx Moth





Very long proboscis. It is 12 inches long in some species.




There's also a 5-Spotted Hawk Moth. The difference being the 6 spots on the Carolina Sphinx Moth.


Pawpaw Sphinx Moth (named for the Pawpaw tree where it pretty much does everything)
