Cardinal closeups

One of my backyard cardinals. Taken last week.

The cardinal found a recently deceased green June beetle on the deck. The beetle lost an air battle with another "Junebug."

He was tamer than any of the other songbirds that come to the deck, mostly to perch on the top beam.
