...have me salivating every week.

What is that machine in the last 3 pictures?

I wish I could serve some of them to you! They are so. good!

The machine in the last three pictures is a small tool for holding scissors and other small objects that need sharpening. My friend Rick is sharpening some steel scissors that he was told were surgical. They might have been at one time, but with rust on them, I doubt that they still are.

The scissors are clamped and the large white wheel does the sharpening. Now and then he stops to check and make sure when they're sharpened enough.

Lettuces: I see ruffly green in back, romaine top right, and maybe Little Gem in front.

Re the watermelons, someone told me that if there's a yellow spot on the melon it is more likely to be ripe than if no yellow spot. Anyone know?

I just loved how the lettuces looked, all arrayed like that!

I'm glad Mousetoescamper was able to answer your question! I had no idea at all.

I've been bitten by the thought of the full moon, which is rising here. It should be visible in the next 20 minutes or so.

I'll see what I can get!

The person in the last 3 shots is my friend Rick the knife sharpener. He's sharpening some small scissors on a wheel made just for small objects.
