with the diagonal brick pattern there! Maples really provide awesome fall color. I should know, we have about 20 of them to rake up after.

That's a lot of leaves to rake, especially if they're large trees! I have a fig tree and a lilac bush in my postage-stamp yard. The neighbor's two tall hollies ride the property line and drop leaves into the yard, but overall there's not much to rake.

We have 3 acres here. Sophie gets a back yard of about 1 3/4 acres of fenced in yard to run around in. It’s nice except for in the fall.

The leaves in my photo are from a sugar maple. They're very common here along the city streets and in yards.

We lack the colorful foliage that you have. I think the only tree that turns here is the liquidamber. They are gorgeous but they're in the minority.

leaves! Our maples this year aren’t as pretty this year because we haven’t had much rain the last couple of months. We have a deficit of almost 8” for the year.
