I returned to Longwood Gardens yesterday after attending the annual Halloween fountain show Saturday night. Here are a few of the some 400 shots I took yesterday. Happy Halloween!

(13,561 posts)I once climbed to the top of Notre Dame (in my younger years) so I could be at eye level with the gargoylesand have a wonderful view of Paris!

(5,296 posts)It's best in Spring and Summer but there is always something wonderful to see there, and the greenhouses are open year round. It's outside of Philly.

(6,819 posts)I find more than enough photo subjects within a 50-mile radius of my home. Travel's fine, but there's much to recommend getting to know the place one lives. Saves gas and jet fuel, and the attendant pollution, and brings $$$ to the local economy.
