Related: About this forumhere's an epic monkey shot i took yesterday...i wish andy were around to see it......
...i know he'd like it. ever since he left us, i haven't felt inspired to post much here and i apologize for that, because you all are such cool folks.
this was an ISO 3200 shot and it was difficult to get the color balance as well as i did (which is average)....but, i'll keep working on it until i get some shots of this guy in better light. like many of my shots, it was taken from my porch, as the monkeys come to within about 4 meters of me.
and here's a couple of bonus shots for the monkey lovers:

(1,055 posts)Especially those photos of creatures that are not from my neighborhood. I live in the PNW.
Your lucky to have wildlife approaching you when you sit on the porch.
Not so easy for me, I have to beat the brush and find a place to sit for hours and hope I get lucky.

Ferryboat
(1,055 posts)Out in the forest 3 or 4 days a week walking the dog. Bears and cougars are the ones to watch for.
I have the dog rigged with bells to give wildlife a chance to dissappear. They have a hard life, no need to make it more stressful.
When I go deep into the forest, bells come off and I slow way down and get into the moment.
Black bears are pretty much everywhere but all you really see is the back end as they run off.
Cougars scare me, they follow you out of curiosity.
Only camera I have is the phone in my pocket, not suitable for wildlife.
