In my post-processing conversion, I pulled the blue channel way down (luminosity and saturation) to darken the dull, high-noon sky. That is a technique that I often use to salvage an image shot in non-optimal lighting.

But, ironic that you asked that qustion. I was just looking at options to convert an old (2009) Canon 5D Mk2 full-frame digital camera to IR.
