the horsehead nebula 3 versions

one thing about astrophotography especially of nebulas is the colors displayed can be easily changed depending on what your goals are. scientists use the different color palettes depending on what they are researching. this can make some really nice photos.

thisis 2.5 hours of exposure time on the horsehead nebula. the nebula primarily gives off light in a few specific frequencies due to hydrogen,oxygen and sulfur in the nebula.
the red image is using what can be considered "normal" colors
the teal is using the OHH palette.
the purple is using the HOS palette

basically i split naural red image into its 3 RGB componets and then recombined then in different ways
