Related: About this forumHere are some photos from El Segundo's Farmers Market today:
There weren't any flowers today! I had some ideas on new profiles for the mighty micros, so I tried those out. The last photo is of the owner! He liked it (it was a mistake, but he said 'Keep it.') So I did. Hope you enjoy!

(152,789 posts)Most of the photos are micro greens, which we used to call bean sprouts. The 3rd photo are micro greens. They come in different varieties which accounts for the different colors.

(3,963 posts)Quite a variety of micro greens. They are rich in nutrients. Is the white budded vegetable cauliflour? Great pics despite no flowers at the market. Thanks for posting, Peggy.

(152,789 posts)That vegetable is Romanesco Broccoli; it's related to cauliflower, I think!
I did want to get more varied photos of the micro greens, and the sunlight cooperated.

(3,963 posts)Romanesco Broccoli, interesting. It reminded me of cauliflower, but the shape of the buds, is much more sculpted. I'll have to look for it I'm curious as to what it tastes like. Thanks again.

(152,789 posts)On my way to the market, I was thinking of how I could freshen up the photos. I may have succeeded!

(152,789 posts)The market's great for that. Lots and lots of green. On the occasions that Andy was here, he could not get over how green everything was! The bougainvillea made him crazy with all their colors.
I'm really glad you enjoy my photos. It means a lot.
