(37,024 posts)The first one with the leaves backlit by the sun is especially nice!

(153,916 posts)The tree is a bit tricky to capture; there are criss-crossing branches every which way! The sun did look good there.

(81 posts)I'm sure when the wind blows the branches are beckoning you to come outside! Thanks Peggy!

(153,916 posts)Ah, maybe the wind does speak to me! As does the sun.
This tree is the one I chose for the spot that it occupies. I have always enjoyed seeing it change through the seasons.

(153,916 posts)I did wonder if anyone would notice. I had the same feeling as you; but I couldn't express it as well as you did. Thank You!

(86,347 posts)There were quite a few near where we used to live in SoCal. One in the backyard right next door, that was so big that its branches hung over the fence above our backyard, and when those blossoms dropped, WE TOO had one of those glorious purple "carpets" on the ground from the "shedding" from that jacaranda tree. It had been planted by the original owners to celebrate the birth of their daughter, who was a teenager by the time my family moved in next door to them. I was 9 at the time.

(153,916 posts)That was a while ago. Our tree was planted on the day we moved in, in 2001. It was just a twig. There are 2 driveways, one on each side, and the tree spreads over both. It's glorious!

Nice pictures, especially the details

(153,916 posts)The squirrels run up and down in my tree.
I'm glad you enjoyed the details. Thank you for your lovely remarks.
